This unassuming home in a quiet suburban corner of Los Angeles has become a rock and roll house of solace designed entirely by the homeowner himself. After his decades of working alongside notable rock bands, he has created a sanctuary for himself and his family, complete with all of the elements that make living life in Los Angeles so wonderful. He outfitted his kitchen with state of the art appliances, a commercial range, and European cabinetry. The living room doubles as a functional gallery space and media room, with an enviable art collection concealed by a drop down screen, black out shades and
projector appearing out from the ceiling at the push of a button. Even the children’s spaces receive the same level of attention and cutting edge design detail. The traditional undermount white tub was ripped out in favor of an acrylic panel and hand finished plaster wall, giving the kids their own aquarium moment. The master suite feels more like a spa than a bathroom, with a freestanding tub, teak finished shower, and European fixtures. Lastly, all of the public spaces (living room and dining room) have retractable multi-sliders that disappear into the walls, allowing the backyard entertaining space, complete with outdoor kitchen, pool and spa, to meld into the interior living spaces. This home is truly the embodiment of California dream living.
